Happy New Year to everyone! We were lucky and got to see the aurora borealis twice. It was a very impressive experience. (please excuse the noise, my camera can only expose 2 secs so I had to go up to ISO 3200)
Wow - what amazing shots! That must have been so incredible to witness! I think you did a stellar job of capturing them. What a beautiful way to ring in the New Year that must have been! Unforgettable.
Wow that is a magnificent & magical capture - lovely fluorescent green glow as if it were a sign of God ! You sure are fortunate to experience and photograph this great phenomenon.
__In the Berksire foothills long ago, the 'Northern Lights' were a constant visitor. Now, at our pond, Kathy and I still see them often. __The 'city folk' don't even know Aurora Borealis is, and they are missing that moments of that... life-light. Too much artificial light in any city night's skies. __Aurora, is the dawn.
life light this new days breath aurora
__Simply Grand photos Friederike, grand! Best wishes for the new day(s) we have at hand! _m
Thank you very much for your visit and your lovely comments :) / merci beaucoup, snow :) We travelled there hoping to see the aurora - and we were lucky. Before we came, there had been no aurora for 18 days... It was a very impressive thing to witness. The aurora was dynamic and moving all the time - and we could see lots of stars.
