in the fog II

Another week without sun has passed. I went running in the fog once more (we use to say that there is no bad weather, only a bad choice of clothing...but still... it takes some dedication to get out in these conditions). And when I reached the so-called "Silberbrunnen" (silver fountain) I was surprised pleasantly because someone had decorated a tree there as a Christmas tree (I'm in the picture, too...).

today it's raining cats and dogs here - therefore I chose this picture from Bucharest taken about one year ago. In the background you can see the Palace of the Parliament (formerly known as Casa Poporului). It's one of the largest buildings of the world. In fact the rainy weather doesn't really affect me (I'm still blocked at my parents' home with my broken feet), but some sun would be much more pleasant...

this snowfall made me think of the fairy tale of Mother Hulda (in German: Frau Holle). It took only 5 minutes to cover everything in snow...

Last weekend we took a walk in the mountains. It was sunny and the temperature was about 23°C. Now it's winter all of a sudden...

The summer came back this weekend. This picture taken on a very hot summer evening in Bucharest seemed suitable to capture this feeling.

Groapa Vacaresti

We visited this place in one of the few rain breaks. It is located quite close to the city center and was meant to become a lake once (but that didn't happen). Right now a small wilderness has developed there that reminds of the Danube Delta (with plants, rare animals etc.). Maybe one day it will be a nature reserve.

I took this picture yesterday somewhere close to Hinterzarten.
I'll be gone for some days - on Thursday we'll fly to Tromsø (without my computer, so there'll be no blogging). Maybe we'll be lucky and see the aurora borealis.

I took this picture when we came back from the Danube Delta by hydrofoil which can be seem in the background.

Right now, the weather here is very similar - lots of rain...so there will be no chance to see the today's total eclipse of the Moon. :(
