Another week without sun has passed. I went running in the fog once more (we use to say that there is no bad weather, only a bad choice of clothing...but still... it takes some dedication to get out in these conditions).
And when I reached the so-called "Silberbrunnen" (silver fountain) I was surprised pleasantly because someone had decorated a tree there as a Christmas tree (I'm in the picture, too...).
This weekend I returned on my cross country skis for the first time after my injury and I enjoyed every moment of it (even though my foot hurt). The conditions were wonderful - lots of snow and sun :)
Last week I used my bike again for the first time after my injury - it was wonderful to be able to move again more quickly :) I took these pictures on my small trip.
Please excuse my break from blogging (too much work and too much skiing meant that I didn't really spend time at home anymore). I promise to be back more often!!
Last Saturday me and a friend went on a skiing tour from Hinterzarten to Schluchsee. It's a classic tour of about 32 km. The conditions were wonderful - we had 1,50 metres of new snow and lots of sunshine. The first picture shows the Raimartihof which is close to the Feldberg (you reach it after 10 km). The second picture shows the valley of Menzenschwand. The third picture was taken close to Farnwitte (km 14). The last pictures waren taken at the Roßhütte after 20 km.
We visited the wind-beaten "Wetterbuchen" close to the summit of the Schauinsland summit once more (this time it was sunny and the visibility was better than last time - see http://friederikebauer.blogspot.de/2012/02/wetterbuchen.html for a comparison)
Today I took my skiing equipment and went to the mountains for the first skiing tour of the winter. It was a great pleasure to be back there even though the weather got cloudy and cold in the end :)
Sometimes there is a sandy beach below the wall - I took this picture remembering lovely summer hours on the beach. The water level of the lake is changing as the lake is part of a pumped storage hydropower plant (in my language: Pumpspeicherkraftwerk).
