Hirschsprung

Hirschsprung translates as "jump of the stag".
The legend says that a stag escaped a hunter by jumping over the valley (that is called Höllental = hell's valley). Today there is a sculpture of the rock to remember this legend and children of all ages try to see it from the cars and trains passing by :)

I think what I am seeing from the computer screen is a stag too.

I love that sculpture, Frieda. And what a brave stag that was! I confess I'm glad he escaped :)

Nice backlight silhouetted the sculpture high on the rocks. It looks to have been taken from a vehicle.

Thank you very much for your visit and your lovely comments.
Patali, I never heard of that disease - but what a coincidence that this place and the disease almost share the same name!
Leovi, I took the picture from driving car :)
