Frieda spunea...: Yes, the arch is cometely made of abandoned bicycles. It's an art project, there seem to be several other sculptures, but I haven't seen them yet.

Frieda spunea...: Unfortunately, the website of the project is written in german only (which I suppose most of you don't understand...).
It is a project that is very typical for the city of Freiburg which is full of bikes and students and people who are concerned about the environment. That's why young artists were asked to do sculptures made of abandoned bike "ruins" that couldn't be used anymore. There are all in 7 sculptures all over the old city, but I have only seen the arch.

The match yesterday was quite wonderful...lots of happy people over here :-) It's just a little sad that there will always be the shadow of the goal that was not given.; 29 iunie 2010 la 00:15
