It's quite difficult to explain this celebration, but I'll try anyway.
It takes place on the second weekend after the end of carnival. Young men collect wood to make a huge fire on a mountain or hill, and then they "shoot" glowing pieces of wood to the valley by using long sticks and a ramp. I think this tradition is related to celebrating the end of winter, too.
