Groapa Vacaresti
We visited this place in one of the few rain breaks. It is located quite close to the city center and was meant to become a lake once (but that didn't happen). Right now a small wilderness has developed there that reminds of the Danube Delta (with plants, rare animals etc.). Maybe one day it will be a nature reserve.

Frieda, I love the juxtaposition of the high rises and nature butting up against each other. I love the fresh greens. It must be even more remarkable in person. Hope you're getting a real nice long rain break! :)
