the partial solar eclipse of this morning. Unfortunately I wasn't really able to watch it because my eclipse glasses are in Germany. I tried to take pictures and somehow I captured a reflection of the sun in one of them. The other picture shows the eclipse as it is shown on TV.
Wow!!! thanks for sharing Frieda; first for the year; Life Style News[http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/lifestylenews/view/1102655/1/.html] reports "Tuesday's partial eclipse occurred when a fraction of the Moon obscured the Sun, making it seem -- in clear skies -- as if a "bite" had been taken out of the solar face"
Your reflection shot is neat, Frieda. You can tell that the rays aren't coming from every part of the sun. Very cool! (or should that be very hot? lol)
wow! thats a nice way of observing an eclipse... I've observed this same phenomenon last year where the light of the sun coming through the trees made miniature images of the eclipse
