Wetterbuchen I

"Wetterbuchen" is the name of a group of trees on the Schauinsland mountain in the Black Forrest. The trees were shaped by the wind on the mountain.

What an stunning photograph, Frieda! I love when trees get shaped like that - they are full of movement on even the calmest of days.

Thank you very much.
The view there is lovely (the mountains in the background are in France and you can see to Switzerland, too) - but it is very windy...

This reminds me; back in my country, up on the highland, there are trees with very strange shapes. Specially, along the slopes that face the wind during the monsoon season. When among them, you feel like being on an alien planet.
